Grimy Pre-War Businesswear

Post » Fri Aug 05, 2011 1:54 am

Hello,

I've heard and read that the Grimy Pre-War businesswear has the wrong texture applied to it. It appears normally when dropped, but has the same textures as the dirty businesswear when worn. It's the meaning to be black suit with red tie...
I've sent a mail to obsidian and bethesda with the question if it would be able to be fixed. Could it be possible for Bethesda or Obs. to let us download a new patch where in the correct textures has been applied to the Grimy businesswear? I've always wanted a black suit on FO: NV (:

"No" is the closest option that applies for me. Because I don't care whether or not they fix it. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. I use the Business suit only for the +5 Speech and then it's only useful until I get my hands on Naughty Nightwear.

No, its not a mistake, they wanted the 'suit' in the game to be the pinstrip brown suit to make places like 'The Tops' look more mobster.

I dont know why they couldnt have had both suit types....but i guess they just wanted the one.

What? That makes NO sense. Considering the Dirty Pre-War Businesswear is the only skin for a suit available by default atm, it's an obvious goof up they never fixed. If they wanted to make it 'more mobster' they'd only need to add the Dirty Pre-War Businesswear into the NPC's inventort and they're done.'

I want the REAL Grimy Pre-War Businesswear skin back :sadvaultboy:

Yeah, I would love that. It'd make my House character happy.

Thats already 12 votes against 2...But...I contacted Bethesda about this, they didn't reply (yet)...To be sure, I'd like to contact Obsidian, but I can't find an email adress?

If you want to contact them, just keep making noise on the forum. Maybe we'll get a response.

Let's start an internet petition for a very small patch which doesn't take long time to make :fallout:

This is so easy to fix. Just import the fallout 3 texture and be done with it Obsidian! We really shouldn't have to do it as I don't think it works if you just drag and drop. But for game devs that created the masterpiece known as New Vegas, it'll take about five minutes to fix. Come now!

I'm seriously gonna laugh if it hasn't been fixed a year after release. I honestly thought that it'd be fixed after the first patch. But seriously, no excuses.

I tend to think that the smaller the problem, the less odds they fix it.

I fail to see why this is such a big deal to people. I've never even worn the suit in NV, ever. I wore it for a few minutes in FO3 just for the bonus when I needed it but dropped it soon after. Its just a non-issue.

We could, it would really just be a case of moving and renaming the texture. However, if the texture doesn't exist in New Vegas, that would be against Bethesda's T&C. It would be impossible for us to do on the console versions, anyway.
