I've owned New Vegas since November and in all the time I have played, there is at least one weapon I have never seen.

I recently had an accident saving and need to restart my hardcoe character. Now, this time, instead of energy weapons I was thinking of going melee. I read the wiki and saw my favorite Fallout 3 weapon IS back but in the time I have played, I have NEVER seen it drop or for sale or even anyone using it.

The weapon is the Shishkebob. Wiki says to check the Crimson Caravan after lv 16, but my lv 32 energy weapons char that was lost, and no I do NOT want to discuss that, has never seen it. Ever. Not there, not anywhere. There are a few other items I know I've never seen either but this is the weapon I wanted and loved.

Anyone else have issues like this?

I encountered one on my VERY first playthrough, within a few hours. I was traveling along the road to Novac from Nipton, around where you get ambushed by Vipers. Just up the road, there were legionaires and I killed them. Not even a minute later I get ambushed by Legion Assassins, one who had a Shishkebab. I was only level 5 mind you.

I leveled up for the third time and there were the assasins, never had that weapon though

The only time I ever seen the Shiskebob was in Honets Hearts. Mind you I didn't know about the level you had to see them. I got to level 16 in HH so maybe that is why I started seeing it.

OWB and HH have alot of them. Other then that they're pretty rare in the vanilla game and by rare I mean you'll see one when the moon turns blue :wink_smile:

Never seen it in either addon as well. And I did see a blue moon in NV once. Shops STILL didn't have it.

Make nice with the NCR (get Accepted or better), then pass a [Speech 50] check with Quartermaster Bardon in the Hoover Dam Offices to get him to sell to you; once you've reached about L16 or so he'll have them in stock. Failing that, get Liked or better with the Great Khans so that they'll sell to you, and the Armory Master will start carrying them at a similar level.

Alternatively, you can go into Honest Hearts at 16+ and loot them off the White Legs melee specialists; you can easily haul out about a dozen of them in various states of disrepair.

How? The Shishkebab is one the the most used weapons by the White legs boobada boo tribe (The bad guys).

I did Honest Hearts on my last character at about level 15, literally every other white leg I killed had either a fire axe or a shishkabab on him.
