The Future of Kvatch

After extensive trawling of the UESP wiki, one thing has kept niggling at my mind. What exactly ever became of Kvatch? Obviously, anyone who's played Oblivion can see that the city was utterly devastated, but other cities have risen again from worse circumstances (Orsinium after the first siege). Not to mention a sizable (by Oblivion standards) amount of refugees remain alive, and Kvatchi soldiers fought alongside the guards of the other cities in defense of Bruma.

So, before I go off-topic, has Bethesda mentioned anything about Kvatch in the recently released novels or other sources? Obviously we shouldn't expect much an appearance in Skyrim, but I for one hope the final fate of the city is mentioned somewhere.

I loved Kvatch's architectural style and guard uniforms, and its beautiful hill-top position and convenient location right beneath the middle of the Great Forest. If I could ask for one piece of Oblivion lore to change, I'd wish for Kvatch to be spared and have a refuse-heap like Bravil or Leyawin be razed instead.

Other: More poll options... I'm completely indifferent towards Kvatch. Couldn't care one way or the other.

The only thing that gets referenced about Kvatch in the Infernal city is the CoC's taking down of the Kvatch oblivion gate. Nothing about the actual state of the city was mentioned, unfortunately.

Kvatch had been razed at least once before, Savlian Matius swore to rebuild, there were several survivors, it's perfectly reasonable that it was rebuilt after the Oblivion crisis blew over.
