I finally decided to try out Oblivion and read a lot on the Oblivion wiki about character creation. I decided I wanted to be primarily a conjurer. My idea was to level Block and Heavy armor so I could tank for my minion (didn't realize at the time I can only have 1 out). I just hit journeyman in conjuration (I have it as a minor because it is easy to level) and I want to get the hardest hitting minion I can. I have tried to go by this table. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Summon but I don't know how to account for magic damage and how the level of my conjuration fits in. It looks like the best one for a journeyman to go with is a headless zombie, but a Flame Atronach might do more spell damage.

Please let me know what you think is the best summon for each level.
