hardcoe and explosives.

Since I need to start a new hardcoe char, don't ask, I was hoping for a little advice.

Old one was energy weapons and I loved that. This one, since I love the skill more, I would like to do as explosives. I know that the ammo, specifically missles, weigh you down hard, but where's the fun in not trying?

So, any ideas I can get for this? Thanks.

Starting traits I know I want are Wild Wasteland, since I never got the Pimpboy, and Skilled with Swift Learner at lv 2 to offset the exp loss.

Don't need Wild Wasteland for the pimp-boy. Got it plenty of times without it. It is a safe trait to pick if you don't mind not getting the YCS/186.

While I'm here....Don't bother with Swift Learner. You'll hit the level cap with tons of content left to play even with Skilled being a trait. Just grabbing hour long naps in safe-houses, novac motel room and your rooms scattered around the strip when possible will offset most of the XP penalty of that trait.

You may want to do Run Goodsprings, Run! Instead of Ghost Town Gunfight but overall it depends who you want your friends to be. This may be obvious, but get your luck and charisma really high, and either make Barter a tag skill or get it high later on in the game. I would also get strong back once it is avaliable, and strength would be a good S.P.E.A.C.I.A.L stat to get to 7+ so you can carry more. You might not want to make explosives a tag skill, because you don't really need 30-40+ explosives too early on to be effective with them.
