Aliera stood in shock. The Knights of the Nine, destroyed. Again. And she had compared Constantine to Sir Berich, who was often considered to be responsible for the first order's demise. And while she felt as if the last part of her childhood she could cherish was taken from her -once again-, she thought of what her question might have done to Constantine. He seemed terribly shaken, and it was her fault. But how could she have known? She had last been to Cyrodiil eight years ago, when the Knights were celebrated, successful heroes. Probably every other person around had known, but she had to ask the person it would affect worst.
Aliera felt old suddenly, as the feeling of loss settled. All things changed, and the things that had defined her childhood were part of a past she had to leave behind. Another attempt at reconnecting to her past had hurt someone.
I'm going to make a list of the times that's happened, and it'll be as long as my arm, Aliera thought bitterly. But her self pity was cut short when yet another injured person was brought inside. She stepped over to the mer who looked like something the cat dragged in, though it had been the same breton who had only recently been injured herself.
"Can we get a healer yet again? I think we'd better buy wholesale today"

Mizar stood against a pillar outside the door to the chapel, his view overlooking the small village and out into the bay. He saw the Breton woman head off to the water, carrying a pouch dripping something at which he didn't care to guess. Though he probably could...

Next came Constantine. Like the Argonian, he seemed to need a respite from the strange events of the morning. Mizar kept to himself for the moment, not drawing attention to his presence, until the Knight began lamenting his garden once again. "You know, most people build a fence," he offered as he stepped up next to the man, and watched the sheep.

"Strange morning, eh? Don't think I've seen this much excitement since I came here. Even more, not one of them seems to be your average traveler. Each one gives me the sense that they are...people with a past. People like us." The Argonian turned to face Constantine.

"Look, I know you like to keep to yourself, and I've always respected that. So, we've never talked much. We've known each other since you came here though, all those years ago. The way I see it, there's no reason we should not be friends, yes? And this town also has a past you're probably not aware of. It needs strong people to stand together. What do you-"

The Argonian was cut off, distracted by the sight of the Breton returning once again, this time hefting a large elf over her shoulders. Without a word to either of them, she pushed her way back into the chapel. As the doors closed behind her, Mizar turned back to Constantine and shrugged. "Well, we've both done our part today. Someone else's turn?" he said, grinning in jest, having every intention of performing his duty as Healer and going in to help.

Constantine was a little shaken by the old memories, he tried to relax, but the sheep were preventing him from doing so. Mizar heard his complaints and approached him.
"You know, most people build a fence," he pointed out as he was watching the sheep. After a few moments, the Argonian saw fit to continue the conversation, "Strange morning, eh? Don't think I've seen this much excitement since I came here. Even more, not one of them seems to be your average traveler. Each one gives me the sense that they are...people with a past. People like us."
That seems to be true of everyone in this village these days, Constantine thought, while he waited for the Argonian to get to the point.
"Look, I know you like to keep to yourself, and I've always respected that. So, we've never talked much. We've known each other since you came here though, all those years ago. The way I see it, there's no reason we should not be friends, yes? And this town also has a past you're probably not aware of. It needs strong people to stand together. What do you-" Mizar was cut off by the return of the Breton who appeared to be carrying a rather sickly looking Altmer on her shoulders, she really is quite strong, he thought, absently.
The two men stood there until she passed throught the heavy chapel doors, "Well, we've both done our part today. Someone else's turn?" he said, grinning. It seems he doesn't realise how unfriendly the beast folk look when they smile.
Constantine's stomach told him to go home and eat breakfast, his curiosity told him to investigate the situation with the Altmer and find out the end of Mizar's last sentence. "They say curiosity killed the cat, but luckily, the nearest Khajiit are in Border Watch" he said to himself, chuckling, as he pulled open the chapel doors.

"Who is that Altmer?" he asked as he entered, "Where did you find him?"
