I've just got Oblivion for my laptop. It works fine, but controlling my character at anything approaching a decent pace is impossible with my sad little in-built touch mouse and keyboard. I can move, attack and block, but never all at the same time. :brokencomputer:

I'm looking at getting a proper mouse to play Oblivion, but I'd really prefer a PC-compatible controller. Does anyone else play Oblivion with a controller, and if so, which do you use? Thanks.

You should be able to use an Xbox 360 controller if you need to. The corded versions are USB, so they should work fine with PC games.

As far as I know Oblivion isn't very good at using controllers. You can use a 3rd party program and there's a guide somewhere on setting it up, but it doesn't natively support controllers very well.
