SetGS iMaxCharacterLevel 99

Post » Sun Aug 07, 2011 5:53 am

Greetings all.

Quick question regarding the console command SetGS iMaxCharacterLevel 99 :

Should this be entered prior to starting the game on the Main Menu screen, during the 'birth,' scene, somewhere else? I plan to start a game and want to 'do it right the first time.'

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

No, you enter it the first thing every game session. I am at level 29 and have just started FO3 and loaded my game. In order for my experience to update I must enter setgs imaxcharacterlevel 100. Once that is done my experience for that level is returned to me and the bar will continue on its way to level 30 and so on. If you don't like typing that much every session then you can make a .bat file and name it something short like max100.bat. Then all you need to do is type max100 for every session and you are set.

You don't need to do any of this if you are still below level 20. It's for after level 20 or whatever maximum level your game has allowed.
