No Kill Run?

Post » Mon Aug 08, 2011 11:06 am

I know you can run through the core game without killing anyone or anything. The question is can you do the same for the three DLCs. No killing anything at all. I just wish there was more perks for noncombat situations.
Traits
1. Good Natured
2. Skilled
S.1
P. 1
E. 6
C. 9
I. 10
A. 7
L. 6
Perks like swift learner, educated, black widow, travel light, animal friend, silent running life giver, toughness 2 times, long haul, pack rat.
Tagging
1. Speech
2. Sneak
3. Barter
Dump points into speech, sneak, barter, lockpick, medicine, science, repair.
I just want to know if its even possible anymore, or if you can do certain DLCs, but not others.

I don't think its possible in Honest Hearts.
The White Legs at the beginning attack you, in order for you to advance it says you must kill them. But I don't know for sure.
Spoiler
What about the Giant Robo-scorpion X-42 thingy in Old World Blues? I think you have to fight that too.

Not sure about Dead Money though, I think if your sneak is high enough, you can do it in Dead Money, or you could just run from everything.

For Dead Money you'd need to have 100 sneak I would think and even then you're gonna get attacked.

You're right, you have to have companions with you at certain points in the DLC. And they engage the GP, also engaging you if you're not sneaky enough, and you can't be sneaky enough for all fights that companions pick.

Attacked I can handle. Running away at high speeds, using lots of stimpaks. Selling all the weapons I get, using only the armored vault suit I get from the doctor at the start of the game the whole game. I'm ready for a new challenge!

I think.

Let me think.
Spoiler
Dead Money: You can trap Elijah or partner with him. Another thing to note is that you should avoid speech checks with Dean that would "belittle" him; he needs to know that you are working for him. Otherwise, you will be forced to kill him.
Honest Hearts: 90 Speech check where you can talk Joshua Graham out of killing Salt-Upon-Wounds. I believe there is a similar check when fleeing from the White Legs, but I am not sure how high your Speech needs to be for that.
OWB: Bargain with Mobius and the Think Tank. Deactivate the Giant Roboscorpion.

Hope this helps! And remember, you can buy Boxing Tape from Chet in Goodsprings. :)

Old World Blues: What about Gabe?
Dead Money: Still no solution to the companions engaging GP. Well, I guess not engaging and using your limited stimpaks and running would work. All that Cloud, those traps, the Ghost People, collar beeping...........
Honest Hearts: If the beginning thing isn't a problem, then I got nothing.

I'm about to run through dead money with a energy weapon character I'll pay more attention to what I can and can't do without resorting to base violence.

The X-42 has a peaceful disable option and the White Legs killing objective is optional plus you could just get Follows-Chalk to kill them.

The desert diplomat as i liken them to is i donot think really possible especially in hardcoe mode as when a companion dies they are dead so you will need to be able to shoot something well.
