So in the demo from Quakecon, Todd, claimed this very thing, such as running a mill, to chopping wood were his only examples. This makes me wonder, can you run a shop in the game? How about becoming one of those guards yourself and enforcing the law? Now I'm sure him saying, that any job the player sees the NPC doing, the player can do as well. Still, it's an interesting concept. What jobs would you like to see/have in the game? No I don't know if there's a thread over this already.

Still hoping we could possibly have a chance at running a shop, to make some of that extra gold. :)

I don't see why a powerful dragon can't bite your head right off if you play poorly or don't see it coming.

So can you get wrapped up in a spider web and wait for someone to save you?

Todd already said you can run a wood mill, so I doubt you can't run a shop

Running your own shop would be awesome. Where would you get the stuff you want to sell though? Just put the items/ equipment you don't want anymore as available in the shop?

The thing about running the lumber mill, is that it probably fades to black and you get money, I doubt there is a minigame or for 8 in game hours you actually lift lumber.

Certain jobs, like running a shop, require interaction with NPCs which you cannot have with a fade to black which is why I believe that some jobs you cannot do.

I seriously reckon that there's a chance that Necromancy will be prevalent and available to the player in Skyrim, it's been 200 years since Hannibal Traven was the Arch-mage of the mages guild - maybe he's died or been replaced?

pretty sure that the factions that have been confirmed so far are the only ones that are going to be implemented in the game.

There's a pretty good chance he's dead.

And by "pretty good," I mean he died in Oblivion. So yeah.

Dark Brotherhood was confirmed at QC after Todd at e3 said that the three factions where Thieves, Warriors and Mages so i think there's a chance. Also it may not be a faction as such - just an option in the game i.e. learning the arts from an established Necromancer and then being on your way

Exactly, so i think over 200 years of history it is possible the Mages Guild ban could be rescinded and therefore Necromancers may be apart of the guild itself

The thing is... Necromancy is one of those "icky-feeling" things. Raising the corpse of someone's loved one to fight for you just seems wrong, so I can see why it's considered an evil magic, and it would make sense for the guild to dislike it.

I do, however, think Bethesda should semi-retcon the death of Mannimarco. The obvious route would be the whole "that was just one of Mannimarco's many avatars" explanation that a lot of people believe anyway. After all, it didn't look like him at all, nor was it particularly powerful. Bring him back and give him the fight he deserves.
