Savegame Bug/Glitch

Hello everyone, I recently bought New Vegas as I was a huge fan since the original Fallout for PC, and I registered here today because I have had the same issue twice now. Now, I don't have much time on my hands to sit and play this game like it deserves, so it takes me quite a while to get anywhere in any game really, and it took me probably two weeks to get to the point that I was at the first time I experienced this issue. I was level 23, had a ton of skills upgraded as well as perks, had all kinds of sweet loot, you know the whole nine yards. Was feeling real impressed with myself and my in-game prowess :) Then one night after work I sit down on my couch to play for a couple hours and score some sneak attack critical headshots on some gross mutants with my silenced sniper rifle, and when I loaded my save I got the message "This savegame relies on downloadable content that is no longer available, continue loading anyway?" So I hit yes, then I get the message "Your selected memory device is no longer available." and it kicks me back to the main screen. (FYI I use the standard white Xbox 360 with the 400mb memory unit, no system updates, the game is not installed because my xbox has no hard drive, and the game also has no updates as I am not connected to the internet.) Now I tried everything, cleared the system cache, rebooted the xbox, tried to load the autosave instead of the primary save, tried to use continue instead of load. Nothing worked, so, frustrated I went to bed and decided to start over another time. After another week or two, I was around level 17 and even more impressive than my previous wasteland wanderer, when lo and behold! The same damn thing happens, the same message stating my save contains DLC that is no longer available (You can imagine my consternation as I have no DLC or internet). This time I decided to do a google search for the New Vegas official forums instead of screwing around with my xbox and eventually hitting it with a hammer, and ask for some help. Is there any solution to this problem that doesn't require a patch of some sort? I have no way to patch the game (The aforementioned lack of internet on my xbox) Is there anything I should avoid doing in-game to keep this from happening maybe? I don't mind starting over one last time, but if this happens again I will most likely snap the disc in half and proceed to never play a bethesda game for the rest of my days. Any help is appreciated, also, please don't hassle me about not reading the rest of the forum for people with the same issue. Like I said, I don't have much time on my hand to sift through 2500+ forum posts for a similar post. If only I had that amount of time...
