Hope Lonesome Road isn't going to like Dead Money

Topic: title: meant to say 'be like Dead Money'.I

've seen a description of Lonesome Road in one of the wiki's.
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Divide
namely:

The Divide is a land torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms, ... The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few to ever walk the road, none have ever returned.

I hope this doesn't mean that the environment will be as much of a enemy as the opponents, like the Sierra Madre's villa was in Dead Money. I found going through the villa to be an unpleasant experience. It felt to me like the developers were making it hard for making-it-hardness' sake. Like they had found another way to make bullet sponges. Honest Hearts was environmentally difficult too (you leaned what the word 'topography' meant), but it was in such a beautiful environment that you didn't mind. There's a fun way to do something like this, and an un-fun way to do it. And I thought the villa was an un-fun way. I'm just hoping that Lonesome Road doesn't become Loathsome Road. We'll see.

I doubt it. I mean, I hope there's the occasional storm or earthquake so it lives up to its name, but there won't be anything on the level of the Cloud.

Well based off of what we know not having the environment against you would be kind of a let down, DM was meant to have a survival horror feel hence the cloud to make you move fast or take damage and the collar to punish you for moving too quickly you were constantly struggling between the two it made for a much needed change of pace.

Oh indeed, it sure would svck if LR was even remotely challenging.
Personally I hope a cute little pink unicorn comes along at the beginning, creates a magical rainbow that I can skip along all the way to Ulysses, then we'll both sit down for a magical tea-party.
Afterwards I'm hoping he'll bring out a guitar and all of the npc's from the mojave will join us for a good ole sing-a-long to kumbaya...

(Seriously)

I hope there is something on the level of the cloud. For those who play it on hardcoe. Us Hard Core players really got the shaft with the other two dlcs it is time that we got some love again.

You hear that devs, that sounds like a challenge that needs to be met! You can do it.
