've seen a description of Lonesome Road in one of the wiki's.
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Divide
The Divide is a land torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms, ... The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few to ever walk the road, none have ever returned.
I hope this doesn't mean that the environment will be as much of a enemy as the opponents, like the Sierra Madre's villa was in Dead Money. I found going through the villa to be an unpleasant experience. It felt to me like the developers were making it hard for making-it-hardness' sake. Like they had found another way to make bullet sponges. Honest Hearts was environmentally difficult too (you leaned what the word 'topography' meant), but it was in such a beautiful environment that you didn't mind. There's a fun way to do something like this, and an un-fun way to do it. And I thought the villa was an un-fun way. I'm just hoping that Lonesome Road doesn't become Loathsome Road. We'll see.
