Beth disabled Dragons for the hour of gaming in the Skyrim Demo. All it happened to be was an introduction to the game, nothing more. Nobody died because they only got through a third of the main quest!
What do you mean by "Got through a third of the main quest!"........?
Hopefully the actual game will be closer to Daggerfall than Oblivion or Morrowind in terms of difficulty... where you can die numerous times in the tutorial dungeon if you don't know what you're doing.
I want the game to be brutal starting out. That adds so much satisfaction to the game when you actually progress and become powerful.
This isnt for everyone, but hopefully this is close to the Highest difficulty mode. Just hope the Difficulty slider isnt screwed up like oblivions. Easiest to Hardest was a freaking 36x difference.
"For the purpose of our hands-on, the team basically gave our characters a host of equipment, so there was no real sense of struggle against any of the foes I came across."
The main quest in Skyrim will take atleast 20-30 hours to complete as IGN + Todd both said.
Every 30 seconds in Skyrim is a minute in real world-time.
The MQ was disabled for the demo, and it will take 20-30 hours to complete in real time. Also, one minute in Skyrim is 2 real world seconds, if the timescale remains unchanged.

I don't know what version of Oblivion you were playing that it was possible to so much as exit the tutorial, let alone take on one enemy for five hours without unlimited potions of healing.
And what makes you think he couldn't have been talking about an enemy in the tutorial?
