Since I first installed Crysis 2, I have had a problem Resuming a game or Loading a previous Checkpoint. The game plays fine from the beginning but as soon as I die and go to restart, the program crashes to the desktop. Windows error message 'Crysis 2.exe has stopped. Check online for a solution and close program'. I cannot figure out what is wrong. I have tried updating the video (ATI) drivers, manual uninstall and reinstall with antivirus off, cleared temp folder, and a few other things which I cannot remember. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? So far I have EA stumped as well, though they are still looking into it.

We think that the problem is somewhere inside patch 1,9. Because patch 1.8 doesn't have this issue. Unfortunately we can't find any solution for this too.

So far I have EA stumped as well, though they are still looking into it.
So if you already contacted tech support team, my advice will be rather pointless for you, but I leave it here for other gamers which encounter this issue and possibly read this thread right now.



All you can do now is to contact EA support team, for example, via chat with advisor.

There you should use EA (Origin) account and choose Crysis 2 as product, PC as platform and Technical Support - Crashing/Freezing/Load Failure as Category (see that screenshot below).

There you can begin a live chat session with an EA Advisor! It's relatively fast process!

We should explain them that this is widespread problem (I already did it), because we think that patch 1,9 was the last patch for Crysis 2. So there is a huge risk that Crytek won't fix it at all. So, please contact tech support team and explain them that you also got this issue!

Wow! Slow down! I already talked to them... All you need to do is to, reinstall your game and backup your save files, so that you don't need to complete the game again O.o If you don't know how to backup your files, just say and we will tell you...
