Tom, that is right, but innacurate;) The operative word in your post is "should". Please, prove it for yourself:
If you are an MP player using multiple profiles in SP, be aware that loadouts, modules, browser preferences, and a mishmashed bunch of other multiplayer data is apparently stored with the active single player profile.
For example:
* Develop a level 50 MP character with the SP profile named "DEFAULT"
* Play around with different profiles in SP, last using one you called "MYNEWPROFILE"
* Go to MP -- login your level 50 -- all your loadouts etc are gone!
* Go to SP, reselect the DEFAULT profile, go to MP, they're back!
* GO to SP, select MYNEWPROFILE, they're gone! etc.
Conversely:
* Develop a level 50 MP character with the SP profile named "DEFAULT"
* In game, go to MYCRISIS->SWITCH PROFILE and create a new level 1 character.
* All is cool, new guy, fresh stats, etc, until you hit level 5 and custom loadouts become available.
* You inherit the loadouts, weapons, modules from your level 50!
* You get to use weapons and module levels not normally available to your rank.... but the assesments, etc get wonky and hard to predict.
* When you go back to your Level 50 character, he will have some of your new characters unlocks, etc even though he cant use them. Other things will be slightly and permanently wrong, as well.
Tom, the game does work from cloud data somewhat like you say. Still, the interaction between the Multiplayer game experience and the currently active singleplayer profile causes MANY of the glitches people describe on these forums, and the fixes posted based on this interaction have worked. Thank you for posting, please advise.
