Fallout 3 Freezes At Startup Birth Scene : Fallout 3

Hello, I just bought Fallout 3 GOTY today.

The startup runs fine, but when I go to start a new game I seem to run into an issue. The first cutscene goes fine, but when I get to the birth scene the game just keeps freezing.
I read online that this can be fixed by adding a couple new lines the the Fallout3.ini, but I still get crashes.

Can anyone help me?

My specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
3.2 ghz Intel i5 Processor
12 GB Ram (I dont think this matters.)
Nvidia GeForce GTS 240

Running into the same problem where the game will either freeze after I pick my gender as James hovers over you, or their will simply be no menu when the game starts up

Yeah it just freezes at a random point during the scene.
