Problems with crash

Hi everyone

Love the game (the whole series) but I have some serious issues with the game crashes :(

Its almost constant now, the problem occurs everytime I close something like a container to put/take items from, also when im done trading with a merchant (guess its the same windown you see) (You know the one where you got your own stuff to the left and the container/merchant to the right)
Also sometimes I cannot load my game from the main menu, but have to start a new game and load from there...( Took me something like 45 min to figure that one out the first time, lot of searching the web and rebooting the game and computer)

Windows gives a message like "the Videodriver has stopped working"
Should I try finding some older version of an nvidia driver?

I have tried this:
Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3

Find the line:

bUseThreadedAI=0

change it to:

bUseThreadedAI=1

Add another line after it and insert:

iNumHWThreads=2

This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze.

But it did not help, also tried lowering the video/display settings, nothing has done the trick so far...
My specs are:
Win 7 64 bit.
Quadcore 3.4 GHz
8 GB memory
Nvidia Geforce Gtx 285

Really hoping there is someone out there with a solution for me ....
