Not again...

Motherboard died again on me tonight. I always held ASUS in really high regard, but now after the initial failure and now the bad repair, I'm pretty sure I won't buy ASUS anymore. See you guys in another 2 weeks I hope.

Had a good run out of DFI boards myself. Running a 790FX board on one PC. Latest board I have is Gigabyte and would recommend them.
Bad luck on your mobo SDub. Hopefully you won't be out too long.

@Coolguycooldude: It's over a year old, and I bought it through newegg. RMA's are only allowed for a month after purchase, otherwise I would!

@fri13th: Yeah dude, sorry I didn't say hi, I was watching the fraps of those matches later and I was like: "I didn't even say hi back!" I'm probably going to get a gigabyte next time, as for now, just hopefully repair this.

@crimsondawn: Thanks for the sincerity mate, I'll probably go with a gigabyte, never heard of DFI.

Thanks for posting guys!

Did you send it to get repaired? or was this board just a different one from the one that was fried before?

Hope to see you back in the game again soon

(enjoyed your vids you just uploaded too)

I owned the board for a year, it died, I sent it in to get repaired, it came back, and now it's dead again. So now, I'm going to send it out for repair again, should I not?

This kinda stuff makes me really happy, I'm really glad you liked the videos. Thank you so much for commenting, and I do remember playing with you, I believe, last night. I wasn't really responding to anyone cause I was going "red mode" last night just killing everything. It was a good day, haha. Thanks for the empathy!

Was Sunday arvo for me, so night before last. I think I managed to camp the pods like a madwoman and avoided you as much as I could, I tend to play crash with 0 regard to a kd ratio and totally focussed on the objectives.

Yes! Upon further review it seems to be the PSU stressing the computer. I'll find out for sure when I get my hands on a multimeter tomorrow. Thanks to Crazyfist!

I was gonna say...

Motherboards don't tend to die that often. I mean sure it could be bad luck, but probably not. The power supply dying usually takes a lot more with it, especially the motherboard. Get that checked out.

I was looking forward to play some matches with you more often! Sorry I haven't been on much at all, I returned to raiding on WoW a couple months ago... like a true pro. Still doing that and truckin' along, but have been on Crysis 2 more recently as well. I also spent a good chunk of the time testing Star Wars: The Old Republic for 30 days, and I had to take advantage of all the time I could get on that game.

By the way, wtf vent do you use so I can go in there when I'm bored?

I have an Asus motherboard on my PC since 2008 and it works super. No ploblems with it. I have anotherone in a PC at work, I have 3 laptops Asus - they all work super stable, with no problems. I guess you are an exception. I always trusted Asus.
About DFI, a friend of mine uses it and he's very happy with it. He is a maniac - he is upgrading every 3-4 moths, and it has that DFI since... 2 years now. So, I think it's a good choice, since he never changed it.

But, I'll stay with Asus. It's the best choice. Rock solid, heart touching! ;)

@JR0G: Been missing you shooting me in the head! I don't sit in a ventrilo server, I sit in a mumble server. I can PM you da details if you get that installed.

@M4dn3ss: Not sure, will find out today! Maybe start playing again.

@Liviuandro: Yeah if it's a bad PSU that is frying my motherboard I'd buy ASUS again because they have an awesome track record. I just didn't think the culprit would be my Corsair 750TX which is also an awesome brand...>.<
