crashing (like everyone else)

Similar situation to many other posts, my game crashes 5 seconds into the 'new game' intro. This i have tried -
edit the 'text' files in 2 different locations
downloaded the d3d.. file
added exceptions for ffdshow
updated all my drivers - nvidea 310 m
reinstalled local content 2x
did a diagnostic on my local content

and it still crashes to desktop....

well what are your pc specs first....without knowing that I cant help you more...
