I need help with brotherhood boss

Post » Wed Aug 10, 2011 11:13 pm

So I started Morrowind not many time ago, i played until i reached a time when i was promoted to apprentice in the Blades, but after that the Spymaster didnt want to give me more quests, he said i should get stronger.
Well i went to do a quest to go to the sewers of the Grand bazaar looking for the dark Brotherhood, everything was going smoothly until i reached the boss, he kills me in 2 hits with his magic bow, is there some strategy or should i level up more since i am only level 2? even with the dificulty in -100 i couldnt kill him

You actually got to him at level 2? That in itself is a feat. He's more of a later game boss. How hard was the fighting leading up to him?

the other members of dark brotherhood were pretty easy with my two handed axe, its damage is 1-30 for chop, slash and 1-4 for thrust, dunno if its good but it helped, also the dificulty was pretty low because most times i cant hit the things i am fighting.
ah also a question, in oblivion we have the base damage of a weapon but in morrowind we have the damage for different things like slash, chop etc..what does that mean?

The only time I ever fought him I was well over thirtieth level, and fighting all those assassins on the way in, and then again on the way out pretty much tapped me of all my healing and magicka potions. It was awhile ago, but I remember it was a hard fight.

There's no reason to nail him now, you can level up a bit before going back. You kind of went straight for the jugular. :goodjob:

On the base damage question, you can do a different kind of attack, stab, slash or chop, depending on which way you move when you make your attack. Move ahead: stab/thrust, move to the side: slash, move back: chop. Your weapon will do different damage based on which move you make.

You can disable all that in the options, where it says "always use best attack", or something along those lines.
