I just installed FCOM and i see several wtf i'm missing a me

Hi, i just installed FCOM and as the title says, are getting missing meshes bubbles, for stuff like crude ivory dagger, and such. I used these videos to help me install: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XneMbc8nO4Q If anyone could please help, as these bubbles are annoying, i would be quite happy.

Use FormID Finder* and/or RefScope*, to sort out which (missing) mesh is from exactly which mod, Then, make sure you have followed the instructions in the OP of the curent FCOM thread, completely. Including renaming any key BSA file(s), for example. Also, in the mean time, you could post your load order: http://tescosi.com/wiki/Oblivion:How_to_Post_Your_Load_Order (note: the Wrye Bash method is vastly preferable to all others).


* You can find these at the Nexus, just like most other mods and mod tools.

I would guess you did not name one of the BSA files correctly, most likely Frans new items which should be name FCOM_Convergence_FraNewItems.bsa (double check this in the FCOM thread opening post, it has all the instructions).

Both Bsa's are correctly named, i made sure of that.

Next guess is BSA redirection. Is it enabled?

And of course as arafel suggested use formid finder to find out what mod the missing mesh is from and that will tell you what you need to fix.

Whats bsa redirection?


BSA redirection is a form of archive invalidation. If using Wrye Bash to install mods, in the installers tab right click the file header and check BSA Redirection. or in OBMM click utilities, archive invalidation, and update now.

If not this then you need to know where that mesh is coming from.

Did you download and install the Orignal FCOM first which contains realswords resource's before you installed UFCOM, if not that would explain that.

else download the FCOM_Convergence.bsa that is listed at the bottom of First Post in the FCOM Thread.

just a suggestion you may or may not have used it. It's a good idea to use obmm to install mmm and fcom because theniceone has made omod installers for both of those, just follow those instructions you can find on the nexus. With the other parts of fcom use the official thread guide as stated by corepc because it really is perfect and you won't have any problems.

I very strongly suggest that you start from scratch using the recommended install method found here http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1215773-relz-fcom-convergance-and-ufcom/
I'd also appreciate if FCOM issues where directed at the home thread instead of several independent ones ongoing simultaneously.
Just follow the guide on the homepage, taking it step by step. Links to all required mods are supplied.
I can't install it for you.

It took me all day to get it installed, and i don't plan on wasteing another whole day. Can't i just fix the meshes or something? Or plain just deactivate Realswords, thats the only problem for the whole thing.

Can someone explain why i can't get the meshes to show up? Those video was very very good, and it helped me install it greatly, everything is working find EXCEPT realswords. So if there is any quick fix, please do share.

The warning is there loud and clear on the Homepage.
The mod is not newbie friendly.
Get used to mod installation and troubleshooting before you even make the attempt at FCOM.

I know how to mod the game pretty well, i just never use wrye bash.
The only reason i joined was to ask this question, because i couldn't find an answer anywhere else for it.
