I bought Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition.

Before and After I ran the 1.7 patch/updates, I was always unable to see/use/do anything with the console mode.

I have a 24inch lcd widescreen monitor.

I am running Win XP Pro SP3, 4 gigs of ram, AMD 8650 Processor.

I just want to enable the console mode, so I can customize the game play, to my own liking.

I have done a lot of digging, and found references to an infrared usb device, that somehow blocks the console mode, well i have no such device installed.

Although my keyboard and mouse use usb connections, but why in the world should that have anything to do with console mode?
