Anyone else get this? After closing the game, the next time I launch Fallout: New Vegas from Steam, the launcher pops up for a second or so and then Windows7 says that it's waiting to close the now-unresponsive launcher.

In order to get the game launchable again, I have to click the button to validate cache. However, it's almost guaranteed not to work the first time requiring another 2-minute-or-so scan and file re-download. Most of the time it works the 2nd try.

Anyone know what file this is and WHY it keeps being removed? Why do I have to keep freakin validating my install EVERY time (and often MULTIPLE times) that I want to launch this game? I'm not sure what info about my PC would be needed, so I didn't bother pasting in a bunch of potentially irrelevant nonsense and I'll hold off until someone asks for something specific.

Please, somebody help, I'm pulling my hair out over here :brokencomputer: lol
