Question about ammo damage

Post » Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:27 am

I would have posted this in the FWE thread but its reached it's maximum posts.

So, a few questions about FO3/FWE/CALIBR!

One thing I've never been able to get a straight answer for.

1. Does the ammunition itself have different damage modifiers? Ie, is .44 ammo more damaging than .32 as in real life? Or is it only the weapon stats that affects damage?

2. If so is this listed anywhere?

3. Lastly, does the weapon scanner feature added by FWE take this into account when calculating the weapons DPS?

Thanks.

Since there's no Damage Threshold system (like the classics and New Vegas) there wasn't really a need for ammunition in Fallout 3 to alter weapon damage. Only the stats of a weapon affect the damage.
