NMC's Texture Pack For New Vegas

'A LOT of work and time went into making this texture pack- but here it is at last. Some of you may already know my other mods for Fallout 3, but this is the biggest one yet, more than double the size (over 7GB for the largest pack)!

New Vegas is one of the best RPG games I have played and I felt it deserved a graphics boost, plus after my Fallout 3 graphics pack I have received a lot of requests for me to do the same for this game. In making this mod, I attempted to stay faithful to the original art direction, but aimed to increase the sense of destruction and decay (and dare I say it, 'realism') and detail in the visuals of the game- world. To those who forward the argument '..but gameplay is far more important than graphics' I would like to reply 'I agree, but they are not mutually exclusive; by making the gameworld more believable visually you can have a far more immersive experience.". I hope I have succeesded in that respect and I hope you enjoy the new look.'

This mod replaces Terrain, trees, interiors/ exteriors, vehicles and most furniture with high resolution (200-400%) real-life photograph-based equivalents.

Enjoy!

This one is sick :) in the good way that is

I`m running the large one on my good old trusty Nvidia GTX 295 (dual 285 GPU`s on 1 board)
I had to use the 4gb mod else it was alot sttuttering when i turned around.

Im running 4x AA and 16x AF

Core i7 3.8ghz
6gb ddr 3
game on own gamedisk Velociraptor 10K rpm disk.

Love this mod, ohlala

EDIT: wow just noticed there come an update to the large pack today. Me grabbing ASAP

Screens look gorgeous, very good work!

I've got an i7-2630QM, 8 gb RAM and a Radeon HD 6970M on my laptop so what would be the best option, if I was also running other modifications like Project Nevada?

I'd guess the medium pack, but I'm not sure how well the framerate would keep up if I add a lot of other mods.

I'm not familiar with laptops and their components bu the desktop equivalents would allow the Large Pack... that said, I would go for the Medium pack as the screensize you will have will make the difference negligible.. plus, you would need a very fast HDD or a SSD to run the large pack smoothly without stutters. But either way I would not expect any framerate drops over the default textures.

@ NorTrek,

Thanks! :celebration:

Thanks for the advice, I got a Raid 0, but I'll stick to the medium Pack then. Should I notice that even with that and a couple of other mods I still got enough fps, I'll go for the Large one.

Comparing between 4aces, Ojo Bueno and this I gotta say yours is the best. Just like yours was the best for Fallout 3!
