Played Oblivion when it came out on other computer without problem but bought the game og the year edition and thought I would try it again.

No mods excepts Knights and Shivering

Has latest patch

Didnt have any problems at first but Im now a bit into the game and have serious problems with lag.

Running around and sometimes the game freezez a short time but then continues, but when I start to fight with some one I have serious lag, game freezez the whole time.it is all but impossible to play.

I have tried to set the resolution lower but that doesnt help

Running Win 7 home premium om Asus Notebook

Intel core i7 , CPU 1,73 GHz, Q740 1,73 GHz

Nvidia GTX 460M 1,5 GB Graphics card

6 GB RAM

As far as I can tell uses no more than 400 MB RAM, and 20% CPU

Have also tried to shut down processes that isnt needed but cant see any improvement

Have also tried to run game i combatibility mode Win XP service pack 3, not better

Have tried to run on one processer and to upgrade priority but that causes game to crash.


Anyone got a solution? Im desperate.

What I dont understand is that at first I didnt have any problems, problems started at level 8 and now at 14 Its impossible to play. Dont know if this matters, just an observation.
