Anyway, I noticed something Daggerfall and Morrowind was very good at, and Oblivion completely lacked. The sense of a family, a house or a clan. Think about it, there are these great Houses in Morrowind, with lots and lots of members. Even NPCs who are regular nobles, even commoners, have families. When I search up a Daggerfall character in the wiki, it comes with the full description of his/her family and roots. Like http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Elysana who is the daughter of King Eadwyre, who is married to Barenziah (not Elysana's mother) who has a son called Helseth (who has a mistress called Karethys), and daughter called Morgiah.
That kind of thing was never implemented in Oblivion. Almost every lived alone, without any real relatives. Only about %10 of the population were husband-wife or mother-daughter, and that was it. And that was very lame, in my opinion. I hope that in Skyrim with the new nordic setting, big families and clans will be back, as it adds a lot to the immersion. What do you think?
