Skyrim - Vampire or Werewolf, which would you pick?

Post » Sat Aug 13, 2011 12:40 am

"So between the vampire and the werewolf which would you pick first?"

Their has not been much info on what vampires or werewolfs are like in Skyrim but I am sure that Bethesda did not forget to include our favirate beasties in the mix.

Personally I prefer Vampire, the idea of living forever and being stronger and faster simply facinates me.

Werewolf would be good too but I dont like the whole "beast" type look.

So which would you pick?

P.S. If you have any suggestions for Bethesda regarding vampires or werewolves this is a good time to let them know about them.

Werewolf. Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed being a werewolf in Bloodmoon. Great for going on rampages with. However tbh, I would probably be a vampire as well for the inevitable vampire cure quest, hopefully it won't be buggy like it was for me last time. I was stuck as a vampire until deepscorn hollow came out xD

Eh, I'm really not sure... provided that there is vampirism in Skyrim, I would be inclined towards vampirism but it's just so cliche. I will have to see what the models look like.

It shouldn't have to be a choice. Bethesda wanted to dumb down the game by reducing the number of options and they had no right to.

They make the games, they have every right to...

Werewolf. I hated being a vampire in Oblivion, that was a [censored]. Turning into a werewolf in Oblivion at the full moon, wrecking [censored] til dawn. That would be sweet, especially if you had enhanced agility. You could be running at max speed, jumping off trees and [censored]. It would be awesome.

Werewolf first for me. There's just something abou a man-turned-beeast tearing people to shreds that makes the idea so appealing

Vampires are cool too, but the thing about the werewolves in Bloodmoon was that they had to kill an npc each night or they'd be weak or die the next day.

Betheseda has just never done vampires right in my book.

Oblivion's was an improvement, but I just didn't like the idea of drinking blood to just become weaker. I just found that a bit ridiculous. If you had to drink blood to stay strong and survive though, would make the vampire experience much better imo.

About werewolves....

...Werewolves used to be in the game back in the days when player models could have beast legs. Ever since the animalic races (kahjit and argonian) started having human legs, werewolves disappeared from TES.
Since Skyrim has no playable races with beast legs, I actually believe werewolves will not be a playable creature.

Vampire, to say the truth I found the werewolf experience in Bloodmoon rather lacking.

Yes it would be a little odd turning into a werewolf but with no beasts legs...

hmm. I'm kind of doubting there will be werewolves at this point or any other werecreature for that matter. But I guess it depends on what I play as. If I was a Dunmer, sure I would be happy being either but I just don't think either of them fit with an Argonian.

Werewolf. Simply because they are more appealing. They always look human for except the times where they transform. They don't burn in the sun. And they are wild and savage.

well it's a toss up for me. I picked the werewolf because they'd do a much better job than bloodmoon. however I have always preferred a vampire. now one thing to consider is that if you read a book in oblivion, (right out of the sewers first ayleid ruin in site, there is a book that levels up hand to hand.) the book clearly states that different areas have vampires with different abilities. I hated oblivion for they're style. sun doing 8 damage per sec. (not so annoying with 100 restoration as you can make a really long lasting heal that counters that) but that as was stated in someone else's earlier, you get weaker when you feed. I think if they want it to stay like that, it should be switched so that you get stronger when you feed and still can stay in the sun, but when you get too weak the sun starts hurting you.... maybe. like I said I hated it. but they haven't even confirmed there will be either. so until then. I'll just stick with saying let there be wolves!!!!

They didn't have the right to? Its they're game they can do what they want, Anyway, I'd choose Werewolf, more interesting.
