Why would that even be a concern?

#6 has to be a Breton. Breton's are half imperial- half elf, and he has pointy ears.

This looks A LOT like a Breton to me. What gives it away:

  • Slightly pointy ears reminiscant of mer.
  • Clearly visible grooves flowing away off the nose and between the cheeks and mouth (they always had that feature).
  • Lips shape.
  • Much less muscular than a Nord (and I presume an Imperial).

Overall, I think that bosmer got the biggest makeover.

If picture 6 is a breton then in that case he's an old breton.. I wan't to see a young, hot breton :/

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2503981824/nm0290556 is how I imagine a young, hot Breton would like.

Or like http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2674039040/nm0290556 or http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2590152960/nm0290556.

And http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2455935232/nm0290556 shares a strong resemblance to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:Lore-race-Breton.png.

Your right the ears are pointed, unless there is an option to change ear shape or ear length then that's probably a Breton.

Here is my personal review of the screenshots:

Eurogamer Khajiit: After having a few heart attacks from the clouds and scenery, I must say that this Khajiit (though not in my taste) is very well made. It shows us a number of different features. Earrings, hairstyles (most likely part of the same option curing character customization), and sectional skin toning lik ethere was in oblivion. The eyes are dark, the upper lip, ect. Also, there seems to be some sort of facial hair option (the mustache) very cool. I noticed that the eyes are more humanoid than cat-like, but that doesnt bother me at all. Infact, it just makes you wonder a little bit about the cratures themselves.

GameInformer Khajiit: Now, this one is much more to my liking, as the aesthetics of the actual beast flow quite well together (no solid and abruptly colored fur patterns). There seems to be a lot of variation between the light fur patterns that are on the khajiit however, making it lean towards more of a white-tiger-meets-leopard look. Very interesting, and its difference to the Eurogamer clearly suggests an already significant amount of variation. As for the background, pelts for decoration maybe? Possibly a lantern or flame infront of khajiit? we shall see!

Kotaku Orc: What I really love about this screenshot is the immediately strong sense of personality that it has, and that it suggests we will be able to utilize when creating our own characters. This, by all means, looks nothing like a generated character, but a living breathing person that put themselves into the game as an orc. Thats where this screenshot hits me. The slick hairstyle looks like it matches the face as well, and it adds to his character. For example: In Oblivion, all of the orcs looked fairly (extremely) relative to eachother, and that they all went into a hair salon and came out with different do's. This, however, suggests that the hair will (as in real life) change the look and feel of the character entirely, which suggests that all o fthe NPCs will not look like products of common parents. The face paint near the eyes (white) looks quite interesting, and the rest of the features definately shout "Orc!" but in a completely different tone. The background looks like it has some dragon-like worship alters and items. (probebly since its most likely draugr related).

Ripten Bosmer: Ill admit as well, I would have thought it was a Dunmer if the article had not said otherwise. But I believe them, It looks significantly different from the japanese-Sean-Connery dark elf that we had previously seen (which reall I dont think stands a chance against any of these screenshots). So, Bosmer, ok. Obviously we can mess around with skintone, and eye color, so thats probebly what we are seeing as the illusion here. Take away the glorious war-paint, give him tan skin, give him a mullet. Yeah, I can see Bosmer now. His face structure is significantly more handsome and flowing than the dark elves we have previously seen. The one thing I do not like are the buffness (which I noticed was a popular choice amongst the demo-ees). But hey, the fact that it gives you that avenue is great. So yeah, may not look like a Bosmer at end product, but all that says is that You can do so much to the original race that they can look like anything you want. And that is what really matters to me.

Lizzle-Bob: This is by far my favorite screenshot of all. As much as id like to just shout bombard this overview with exclamatory nonsense due to excitement, ill continue: First of all, the Argonian totally looks reptilian now. Its gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. It finally looks like the ominous, I-dont-know-if-I-should-piss-you-off-in-fear-of-being-eaten-or-snapped-at look that the race always needed. They always looked like akward men with an attempted lizard head, but this just tops it man. The skin texture is glorious, each scale reflecting light (especially on the darker side of the face, woah man!). There is clearly a defined bone structure now, which Im very very happy about, because in oblivion they just looked like potatoes with a texture (the head atleast). The horns are quite interesting, though I honestly liked the character better before I noticed them. Sagging neck is a realistic win, and the bust size is appropriate!

EpicBattleAxe.com Mystery man: This is my second favorite screenshot because, despite the anonymity, just looks like a plain stunning character! Another succesful real-world-person look. Also, Kudos to thephotography skills of whoever set up the shot. The lighting is excellent, the face is brutal doodz, and the pose is dead-on. I can tell hes anothe rmsucly character, but I like pretending that the fall of the shirt is a beer (or should I say Mead) - Gut. beautiful facepaint, character shape, high-res textures (especially the weapons). The hair, though less impressive in terms of texture, is fitting and doesnt bother me in the least. Well done!

G4TV Nord: I remember reading a humorous demo review involving the player wanting to make his character look like Thor, and I take it this is the one. They certainly pulled it off! And The reason I love that, is because it shows, yet again, the possibilities of creating the look of anyone you wish to really. I mean, it actually looks just like him (it makes me rest assured Ill be able to make myself when november rolls around). Well developed character all around.

And what I notice form all of these, as Ive said multiple times, is that they each look like an individual. An individual person, with an individual personality, and an individual path. This is going to make it a very difficult decision to murder certain people, and may even cause us to turn against our contracts if said feeling prevents us from carrying out our duties, and so on. This kind of character developement is just plain off the charts. Fantastic, and this will really propel this game beyond expectations in this category. Well done Bethesda, Well done.

What a sophisticated looking Orc. The Bosmers are totally different. I'm kinda going to miss their little short cousins from Cyrodil and Morrowind. That Bosmer if it is one reminded me of Braveheart.

The Argonian looks good and so do the catmen.

The improvement with character models is amazing. They all look great! That Nord with the hammer looks ferocious and actually what I feel a Nord should look like. Not some playdough grocery clerk like in Oblivion.
