Graphics matter 0%. Morrowind had the best graphics and if Skyrim had those graphics, then they wouldn't waste time making the game pretty while they could do more important things (like add spears).

Well of course, it does matter.

What doesn't matter, whether or not they're using the most uberawsome new technology or not to ~~make the game prettier~~ make your uberawesome new PC slow down, when they can already manage without them.

Oh, and good character models seemingly doesn't require the most uberawsome new technology...

So you appreciate what they do, it's just that they're completely wasting their time, energy, and passions on something that has no bearing on the overall product, and is essentially worthless as far as game design is concerned. Yeah, my original point stands.

They aren't wasting time.... I just hate when people (this is true) say that without good graphics they won't play the game.

Graphics do matter in a technological and artistic way, but in terms of enjoyment it doesn't... Also I'm loving the Races so far.

The beast races look awesome.

But why bother making even Morrowind-level graphics when they actually don't matter at all? Might as well just have a black screen and some text to describe what you see.

I could have more fun playing Pong than playing Crysis 2 or anything else. Graphics do not matter. Just because a game has good graphics doesn't mean it will be fun.

thats complete bull. they contribute to atmosphere and facial emotions which do both play big parts in gameplay.
