Fallout New Vegas: Crash

Post » Sat Aug 13, 2011 8:16 pm

Ok, i'm gonna get straight to the point, after lets say 30 mins of gameplay fallout new vegas crashes, if i ctrl+alt+delete fast, i see the "Nvidia kernel mode stopped responding" but successfully restored, and of course the fallout.exe thing message.
I searched steam forums, random unofficial forums, many said it's a hardware failure-problem, well i test my pc with (Prime95, blend-in-Mode 4 days straight) (IntelBurnTest, 20 passes max burn mode) (memtest86+) (Furmark (the gpu killer stability test)) everything were great not even a single error or crash, that means hardware is solid...
So the problem maybe is the driver or the game engine or both, which it happens to my pc and pcs twice stronger than mine, what should i do? i wanna be able to play this game as much as i want, if bethesda is so lazy to try to listen to its customers, and fix bugs or communicate with nvidia i don't know, why released fallout? plus fallout 3 has the same problems... i dunno it will be better if Black Isle Studios made this games.

nVidia just released a new driver recently, you may want to try updating or, if you have, reinstalling it. (They do spontaneously corrupt for some reason, at least for me!) Then give this a shot - http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1215306-possible-solutions-to-crashhangs-since-14/ . If that doesn't work then post your mod load order, if you use mods.
