so I pre ordered... but was it worth it?

Post » Sun Aug 14, 2011 6:58 pm

Skyrim is worth it, for a second I thought this thread was about the CE which is no where near worth in my very strong opinion ;)

But ya.. I won't be pre-ordering because I may not be able afford it because right now my priority list is
1. Food, Water, Shelter, Safety (fine on that)
2. Car/tryin to get a job/House (shelter??)
3. Entertainment, RO2 (pre-ordered for $30)

Luckily I know how to save up for such a thing as unemployment and $0 income and was still able to get my current rig.

Why did you have to pay the full amount? I pre-ordered for five bucks.. then when the collectors edition was announced I went in, changed my order and payed 20. I can then go in next month if I so choose and put some more money down on the game..
or not.. but I probably will since the collectors edition is 150 and the guide is 30. This was at Gamestop by the way.

with the game coming out 3 months from now, lately I've been thinking about pulling my pre order just because it's not on my priority list anymore,

I could use that extra 60 bucks for gas.

especially since this economy is totally not helping the job market.

/sigh

oh skyrim, why'd it have to be this way?

Sell your mobile phone. Problem solved. You will have Skyrim with money to spare for food and drink during gaming and no pesky friends that bother you.

Seriously though, TES games are the few games I know that are really worth the full price. If any game, buy Skyrim.

A game shouldn't take priority over things in your real life man. If you have to withdraw your pre-order and wait until the price is lowered, or until you can afford a GOTY editon.

I'm sure $60 won't hurt your financial situation too badly. On the more optimistic side, you'll probably save over $200 on gas staying home playing this game
