All Natural: Weather

All Natural combines a robust custom weather system that allows the use of weather types from all existing weather mods with custom versions of Natural Interiors and Real Lights in order to provide the greatest weather/environment experience possible. The three segments of All Natural will be explained below:

1. Custom Weather System

The cornerstone of All Natural is unique weather system that includes a new regional weather script to keep the weather synced on interior/exterior switching and when fast traveling and a variety of optional features to help enhance and customize the user's weather experience. All Natural also allows you to choose from only vanilla weathers or from some or all the weather types from Natural Weather, Atmospheric Weather System, and Enhanced Weather.

2. Natural Interiors

Natural Interiors was originally created by Wormheart, and its purpose was to make it so interior locations such as houses and guilds would be affected by the weather outside and time of day, and to make it so interior locations had weather sounds inside very similarly to the original “Weather Inside” mod. To accomplish this, interior windows were made transparent and the sky outside now matched the exterior weather and time of day. The result is you can look out an interior window and see a sunset, stars, etc and also have the interior lighting level change based on it being sunny, cloudy, nighttime, etc, plus you can hear rain/storm sounds from within. Sadly, Natural Interiors was never finished and had some issues. However, All Natural now includes an improved and expanded version that cannot be found outside of All Natural. Also, the Natural Interiors segment of All Natural cannot be separated from All Natural, so you must use All Natural in full to benefit from the Natural Interiors segment.

3. Real Lights

Real Lights was an incredibly ambitious project by Josef K. which aimed to replace all the fake lighting (invisible lights with no actual light source) with real lights with real light sources. For example, with Real Lights locations have candles or other light sources that emit light instead of generic white light coming from mid-air.Sadly Real Lights was abandoned long ago and has some issues with save game bloating. However, the mod has now been included in All Natural and has been recently updated to fix all the problems it previously had. The All Natural version of Real Lights is the most updated and safe version of Real Lights and no one should use the older stand-alone version. The Real Lights segment of All Natural is the only segment you can actually use independently, so even if you want to use, say, Enhanced Weather, you can use the Real Lights plugin from All Natural. Instructions on how to do this are included in the installation section of this guide.

Support patches for Nascosto Isles, Losing My Religion, and Kvatch Rebuilt are provided to bring their interiors under the control of All Natural's system.

An extensive filter supporting several other mods is also included which attaches climate data to interiors. Additional mods can be added to this, by request, but space is limited due to the number of masters an ESP is allowed to have. This limitation cannot be overcome by any means. So additions to this list will be considered on a case by case basis, and yes, popularity of the requested mod will be a factor in this.

Version 1.31 June 2011

· Updated OMOD and BAIN scripts to modify All Natural.ini settings based on choices during the install script. Thanks to andalaybay for the help with OBMM. Thanks to Lojack for all the help with the BAIN wizard. New .ini install settings only work with Wrye Bash 292.
· Updated the BAIN script to meet the new standard for version 292, thanks to alt3rn1ty for doing the update and finding some errors. Still works with old BAIN versions.
· Fixed error in Shivering Isles Settlements interior windows transparency. Big thanks to UndWDoG for pointing this out. Now only the window portion will be transparent, not the metal bars.
· Several cell updates have been made in the weather filter to account for mod updates.
· Real Lights: Adjusted light levels in Mystic Emporium so they aren't as overwhelming in daylight.
· Included nao4288's Forge New Textures textures and updated three building meshes with forges to make the forge fires 3D and look way better. nao4288's mod is still necessary for forges outside interiors.
· anvilhousemcinterior03.nif
· brumahousemiddle4int.nif
· chorrolhousemiddle09interior.nif

Note that the only additional change to this was an update to the weather filter to include some new interiors that came up, and correct a few that were wrong. Otherwise it's just a proper repackaging of 1.3 with the 1.31 patch as an official 1.31. This should alleviate issues with the wizard.

A couple problems in the Shivering Isles:

When I was transitioning between Bliss and Crucible in the Open Cities version of New Sheoth, not only did the weather transition instantly without any load screen in between, but the cloud textures started to flicker EXTREMELY rapidly while I was standing in the tunnel connecting the two cities together. The clouds did stay in a particular weather theme (aside from the thunderstorm instantly becoming clear when it began), but it looked like All Natural was having immense trouble choosing which particular cloud textures it wanted the game to use. If I move into the actual cities themselves, the clouds stop flickering, but standing inside the area in between the two cities causes the clouds to go absolutely haywire. This one I was able to replicate with AN SI fully deactivated, so I'm not sure if AN is to blame here.

EDIT: Also, the rain weather type has no rain particle being assigned. This I can definitely confirm as being a problem with AN SI, as this particular problem went away when I did a deactivate test for the mod.

Using 1.3 with the separately packaged update at this point, so as I see from the changelog, it's essentially 1.31.

That's a conflict between the method used by OCNS and the method used by AN. Something I'll fix on the Open Cities side since the trigger box I'm using in New Sheoth is probably completely screwed up anyway.

No idea about the rain particle thing though. The engine does sometimes just fail to display them for unknown reasons. You sure it's not that?

Just want to make sure because I swear I read this somewhere before in the past... I need to have all the All Natural esp's active even though two of them are already merged, correct?

Yes. Active. DO NOT merge them. IMPORT them in addition to being active. The difference is insanely critical.

Posted 31 July 2011 - 05:48 PM Silly me, I meant the Cheydinhall Bridge Inn.

From last thread saying front door window wasn't transparent. It sure seems to be for me...anyone else verify either way?

Anyway, this is the only bug report I know about, so other than this I'm not working on other stuff. Course I do remember the 1.31 .ini had some setting values backward. I haven't checked to see if new 1.31 full archive includes that or not. :)
