Ok hear me out, I am currently trying to replicate a glitch where you can wear faction armor with no consequence. I.e I have a Xbox save where I am wearing Great Khan Simple Armor and no faction that I havent made hostile is hostile towards me. It lists all factions on my pip boy as if I wasnt wearing faction armor. I am currently trying to replicate this glitch and am in need of some help as it has only really happened to me 3 times since I purchased the game. I think its a glitch worth investigating and shouldnt be removed but enforced since well. I like how the Great Khan Armor's specifically look but I dont like how everyone is all," Hey lets shoot the defenseless( I use that term loosely) Khan even though he has done nothing to us whatsoever." So if anyone can help out please let me know as it is not currently in the wiki.

Well so far after hours of trials and fails I have found that 2 damaged armors of the same kind and faction if at the exact same damage level will act as 1 suit so when you equip one outright the faction is not applied even the the game will still signal you that you are wearing faction armor. Because you need an exact duplicate at the exact same damage level this will only work with simple faction armors i.e it excludes Caesar's Armor and Great Khans Armored Leather Armor. The only unique faction armor exempt the a fore mentioned rule is Father Elijah's Robes as 2 can be acquired if he is killed in Dead Money and then later on when you exit inside the chest in the bunker.
