What will your combat style be for LR?

Post » Mon Aug 15, 2011 11:47 pm

Ok so ever since I have bought the 3 current DLC's my combat style has drastically changed. I used to be a player who stuck to sniping from the shadows and stims to heal, ever since Dead money and HH however I have changed my style to a more action oriented highflying over the top weird kills that uses food as much as stims. By high flying I mean that I have litteraly leaped from cliffs and shot dead enemies with head shots. I now focus more on food, so I might be proned to do my first hardcoe run soon. So, how have the DLCs changed your own playstyle and what will you play like for LR?

I'll be using everything. Everything given to me.

If it's one thing I've learned from my many dead-is-dead playthroughs, it's that every specialty has a weakness at some point in this game. My NCR guy died in Dead Money because my guns jammed and failed to be effective on Ghost people, my Legion guy died because the giant Roboscorpion is immune to all unarmed perks, my BoS playthrough died because there's just not enough energy weapon ammo to rely on.

My only playthrough left is my Courier Six playthrough, which utilizes everything, and I'll be damned if I change my strategy now.

The DLCs have added to my combat style rather than change it completely. For instance, I used to rely on guns, energy weapons, survival, and medicine, but with the raised level cap I have expanded to using melee and unarmed as well. In another play through I will take logan's loophole which will change my combat style significantly.

Whatever I get my hands on. All of my weapon skills are above 90, except for Melee being 80 and Explosives at 45.

Ill probably stick to my unarmed/melee, stealth approach. But if Lonesome Road is really a giant open road, I may need to change tactics up a bit.

The only flawless specialty is explosves. You can counter its downside with your intelligence and your cunning.
