A Fallout book?

Post » Thu Aug 18, 2011 8:23 am

Dos everyone know if there is a fallout book? Not like a tactics guide, or something from fallout gameplay, but like a story. I know it's very unlikely there is a "Fallout book", but maybe some story that is the same style as fallout :fallout: Hope you guys know one!

There are some comics, but I don't think there is a book.

The answer to your question is a short blunt no.

But of course of course this thread wouldn't be proper without a mention of Cormac MacCarthy's novel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Road. That novel served as some inspiration for Fallout 3, and is a remarkable post-apocalyptic book.

Do you like any other video games, because I know Halo has some books, I think Doom has some too. The Elder Scrolls has one too. And starcraft it has quite a few.

The Postman by David Brin is a great post apoc fantasy book that is very similar to Fallout.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Postman is the wiki for some information about the book.

It has...
Raiders
Super mutants
An attempt at restoring government
A group of 'tribals' along the line of The Legion
And a cult of tech worshipers

To top it all off there is a crap ton of symbolism in it which teachers eat up :D .
