Feather works a bit differently --- It actually only reduces the weight of items that are already in your inventory when the effect is applied and can not reduce it to less than zero (even though it shows as an addition to what you can carry in the menus)
so it will do nothing if there is already no encumberance in the inventory unless you remove the effect and then add item weight into inventory and then reapply the feather -- so to get the full effect of a feather you would have to add something into the inventory that weighed more than the enchant so the effect can be applied and then remove that item from inventory (since once applied a feather will stay in place until the enchant is removed even if the items are dropped from inventory after it is applied)
Thank you for your help. I do understand, but this doesnt work or is what i meant.
I do apply the ability with the feather effect of 75 and duration 0, as constant effect, when the character already is overencumbered, aka reached his encumbrance limit.
But the encumbrance is not reduced. It stays the same, as the encumberance limit does ( I know that feather reduces the weight of inventory items, not increases the ecumbrance limit)
and the feather effect shows 75 in the effects tab.
Before: 253 / 250
After: 253 / 250 (ActiveEffects Tab shows Feather with 75 as ActiveEffect)
