Height Adjustment

Post » Fri Aug 19, 2011 6:55 pm

So i've been reading that you can select different body types for your character in the customization menu (not sure if confirmed, just read about it), but i haven't heard any thing about adjusting height. Seems to me that height would be something that should be implemented more reasonably than body sizes. I personally would love to be a tall bosmer, as they look the best to me so far but i hate playing a short character as i'm tall and i try to base my character off of myself. Hearing that their are so many customization options from the reviewers who got to play, i'd be genuinely disappointed if it wasn't in the game.

That would be so cool, I could finally play as a lizard midget!

Ya, I would love to see height customization in the game.

With in certain limits it would be cool for example you can make a bosmer as tall as an imperial but no taller

No, as in its confirmed not to be in the game? I'm pretty sure that most people wouldn't be opposed to it being in the game, and i just haven't heard if its actually in or not.

Also, you should consider the large amount of console players who be playing this game who won't have mods.

I'd love it if this was in game. Each race should have a min/max height limit, for example the max a Bosmer is the average Imperial and the shortest Altmer should be the average Nord

I'm not sure how hard it would be to put in game but you can always change your height with the scale command on the console (PC only) so maybe it's not too hard

I believe it has been confirmed that there is a slider for a heavier or lighter physical build, but no word on height yet.

I would not want a people to change heights. I think by choosing a particular build it should automatically set a height. If you give us the option we would go crazy making tall Bosmer and midget Altmer.

Not every single individual from a certain race should have the same height.

I think by choosing a particular build it should automatically set a height.

Height and how muscular you are aren't related therefore I wouldn't like this

If you give us the option we would go crazy making tall Bosmer and midget Altmer.

Not if, as I suggested, races had a min/max height limit.

That may be true, but how would someone else choosing to do this affect anyone elses experience in this single player title?? Let the player choose to play as a midget Altmer if that is their desire. Won't affect anyone but themselves.

The only way this would work is if there were limits as said by Skullcrusher, the height need to be in the same region, but variation wouldn't hurt. You definitely wouldn't be able to go crazy because each race has a range of sizes.

I don't know why they'd let you adjust muscularity but not height. that'd be stupid.

Why should I consider them? There making a choice to play a subpar less customizable version of Skyrim. That is just how it is. I have nothing against consoles, I think they should have mods. And I want to get a PS3 to play some console exclusive games, like RDR and Dragon Dogma(cost too much right now though, but I will at some point).
