Public Execution? : V

Hello all, how are you doing today? I ,myself, am doing fine. Now to the point.

Has anyone thought about having public execution in skyrim? Beheaded by the lords of the villages or their appointed executioners, or things of that nature.
I think it would be very interesting and fit into skyrim if prisoners were executed in general public, such as beheading, or just killed even.

Being able to interfere with the executions would be cool and very interesting. Anyways, any thoughts on this subject are welcomed.

Public executions were the shiz-bizzle back in those days, they SHOULD be in, but 'tis unlikely.

i think that would be cool. it would get espicially interesting to find that your love interest has her (or his) head on a stump waiting to be chopped off. it would get even more interesting if the reason she's getting her head chopped of is for murder, so if you try to save her you become an enemy of the village for a time.

Sounds ok. Save these guys now, or they die, seems a whole lot more exciting than : here's a quest, anytime you can get around to it, the village under threat from the trolls isn't in a hurry, whenever you're ready.

I would like to see something like this! It adds a little more realism into the mix. People get imprisoned all the time... and I know they don't just pile up in the prison dungeons! Although, if there were public executions, I would expect it to be more along the lines of a "hanging" rather than beheading. Apparently, there are no dismembering in Skyrim. Gotta keep these M rated titles kid-friendly, you know! :thumbsup:

Pete confirmed there is no decapitation in a recent interview, so no beheadings. Public executions would add a nice touch to the atmosphere, though.

To be honest, public executions would be sick, especially interfering with them, and also it could add to quests. There could be some sick immediate choices in quests, like said before, act now, or let him/her die.

It would be fitting with the atmosphere of Skyrim. Being able to save a thief or other criminal and make them your ally would be a nice touch, also having the option to not intervene, depending on what type of character you are playing.

I wonder if they hang people for executions because remember you get saved at the beginning from one or are the executions a axe finishing move.

They wouldn't be "awesome", that's very morbid way to say what I think you are. They would be an interesting touch though. I would stop all of them though because I believe jail is the right decision no matter what.

there was a guy in Oblivion who was either scripted to steal food or his AI did it due to lack of spawning/money. The guards would try to arrest him, be unable to take him to jail and give him a summary execution on the street.

I forget his name.

That happened to Big-Head, I was sad when it happened and went on a murderous rampage... in Bruma..
