The winterized T-51b is probally the closest thing to original power armor. With it never degrading, it always stays 45 dt. Hellfire armor is always degrading...

That's because of a bug. You get the simulation version rather than the wasteland version of winterized.

No, it's the game. Winterized is 45 DR. Regular is 50 DR. Gameplay mechanics is lore.

Gameplay mechanics does not always equal lore. Look at various Power Armor variants.

Something that relates to the game.

It's history and established facts about the game. Like it's lore that The Master was originally Richard Grey and he fell into one of the FEV vats and turned into a hideous, goopy, refuse pile, of a being. Or that T-51b was made to help combat the Chinese and it is very powerful, allowing the occupant/ user to become a " walking tank " of sorts. That is my understanding of lore.
