Overhauls that play nice with Project Nevada

Post » Fri Aug 19, 2011 11:58 am

Asked in the Project Nevada thread too, but thought it prudent to ask in a seperate thread.

Could someone please tell me which "Overhaul" Mods are compatible with PN? eg. XFO, Arwen's Tweaks etc.
Also if either of these IS compatible (or you guys think theres a better overhaul about) then how I would go about getting them to play nicely together.

Thanks in advance.

Personally, I really like PNV's rebalance module - I think the whole mod itself is slick and well done, but is missing a few things.

I eschew a few parts of PNV and add a couple of additional mods, though... here is what I am running in addition to PNV -

- http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34898 although it hasn't been updated in a while for DLCs and the like, nor does it support Project Nevada's new weapons. I like the concept better than the Alternate Repair System in PNV (although it is still very good!)
- http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35504 - Makes Barter much more meaningful (Can't remember if PNV rebalances Barter or not, but I override it with this)
- http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38341 - Same as above, but for Karma. I like these settings better than PNV (again, can't remember if PNV alters this, but Color Me Evil loads after anyway.)
- http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=42334 and http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=42257 both beef up the templates used for creatures, making them far more deadly than in vanilla PNV.
- http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37090 - makes it so you need to keep all your weapons reloaded all the time - the game won't do it for you anymore.
- http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38623 - adds a number of new dudes to shoot at (and to shoot at you)

I haven't found a single overhaul that makes the game what I like in one package, but this comes pretty close.

Personally I use a few of the XFO esps.
The rebalance module has mostly replaced it, but I still use the barter tweaks, rarity tweaks for medicine and caps, AI changes and Weapon skill changes. Unfortunately it's been abandoned so I don't know how it works with DLCs

Arwen's is, I believe, a bit less modular in that sense, so I'd look at the changes that are made before deciding.
