I smell a walrus

Post » Sat Aug 20, 2011 2:00 am

Ok so one day while searching through google for skyrim pics, I found a very interesting photo of concept art. The photographer was focusing on a picture of the map (which btw has rebels and empire clearly marked on it) but towards the bottom of the photo was what appeared to be a walrus. What are walruses doing in Skyrim?!!? Are there actually walruses or are they just the new horkers? We MUST find out their bucket-snatching walrus agenda before they kill us all!!!!!

So walruses are going to be called horkers in Skyrim? I do remember Todd scrolling through the food menu in the E3 demo and showing the horker meat.

Horkers most likely. Walrus-like creatures with tentacle thingy mouths.

This? http://www.scharesoft.de/joomla/almanach/images/1/1f/Artwork_-_Art_of_Skyrim_-_Himmelsrand-Karte.jpg

Started a thread about it a long time ago.
I think it looks like a walrus :P

Horkers have a completely different design: http://images.uesp.net/thumb/d/da/BM-creature-horker-1.jpg/600px-BM-creature-horker-1.jpg
(Like a seal with an extremely weird mouth)

So... unless they have drastically changed the Horkers' appearance (which I see no reason for, because they look really unique and awesome), I'd say that walrusses are in :P

Ya most likely the walrus is a horker, but it would be cool to include both, why not?

Since the northern coast of Skyrim will most likely be frozen or at least icy, then I'd hope for a variety of arctic life

So as well as Horkers, why not other creatures? Walrus? Penguins? Seals?

It's clearly a horker on the left and a walrus on the right.

I'd rather have horkers. More alien creatures, less real world ones. I don't want Skyrim to be an Iceland-clone, even if Iceland is awesome.
