When you votekick them nothing happens, the yellow votekick text doesn't show.

It's worth pointing out here that this is how you votekick >>

1 press this key `
it's the one on the left of the number one and usually below escape, basically it's the key that opens the console.

2 Once you have console opened type votekick, make a space by pressing the spacebar, then press the tab key until you see your hacker's name, or the sob being abusive to others, or the 5am l-tagger you get the message.

3 Press enter

Press F1 to vote yes, press F2 to vote no.

I know how to votekick but... Stupid idiots never normally listen.. Even if I tell them to press 'F1 he is speed hacking.' They still don't listen...

I'm one for rage quitting, i'll usually call the l-tagger a homo then quit for another server.
All in jest of course, i do laugh sometimes at the noob l-taggers it's the pros that us it boosting their stats at the expense of us just lookin for fun, some of us having spent mucha pasta on the rig etc., i don't lay down for that, rage quit again.

Saw some people hacking with the ltag yesterday, infinite stealth, infinite ammo, and I could swear those ltag shots curved onto targets XD is that even possible?? or was it just that these dudes were actually good with ltag.

It's usually when folks spam the l-tag in the small maps i disappear, in the larger maps i can handle them better, also update on the 'always on' crosshairs, seems it IS a bug cause i seen it happening to folks i know.

Seen a couple spamming the ltag in Terminal. They were just firing them off in every direction hoping for a kill.

In the chat say "Press F1 it gives you a free energy boost" or something like that and they will press it

However, the only way of playing free of hackers is by playing in actively admined servers with good reputation, such as DDD, fVic or even Cry2.

Granted, admins arent ALWAYS on, but a server with a regular memberbase has a higher degree of a votekick succeeding.

I've seen a lot of stealth hacks about, caught one in a pre match on my server the other day which seemed a bit daft because he was trying to l-tag the admin from cloak before the match had started. He was easy to spot on the nanovision though so I nailed the FY71 into him before banning him.

Thanks for the mention but as you said no admin can be on 24 hours a day and in my case it's just me as admin so my server isn't managed as often as I'd like. I am on the lookout for more people to help though.

Most of the time though apart from the obvious cloak shooters or ceph overlord style rage hackers it's a tough job to figure out whether someone is hacking or playing legit, there's people out there who are hacking but trying to look legit and there's people who are legit but play like hackers. Not everyone out there who is hacking has an aimbot either, you got things like nametag hacks as well as the unlimited's which are extremely popular atm and easily accessible to any punk for free, but for legit players you got perks like energy transfer and visor enhance which can be mistaken for those sort of hacks.

As for the votekickers, this is why they should be clear on why they are votekicking and have a genuine excuse to. Most of the time I see someone starting a votekick, they're all like press F1 but no ones explains why, and from all I can tell the guy getting votekicked was just owning them.

The easiest way to succeed a votekick is right after you started the votekick, use the VOICECHAT and say something like "Hi guys, please press F1 so we can ban this hacker called xxxx".
Your chances that enough ppl will press F1 are much much higher instead of using the crappy textchat.

I cant care less bout sith which you get kicked for playing good like i did when i was using shotgun or when war spirit rage-banned me,gotta love it to say it.

DDD is not an actively admined server, they're barely ever there and almost nobody votes to kick.
Server rules are constantly broken and every time I have a good game there my connection gets mysteriously lost. I dunno if it's crap server, crap administration, or some ddd guy making room to get in since it's full.
