Looking For Help With A Character Build

Post » Sat Aug 20, 2011 7:25 am

I got it in my head that it would be fun to play as.... dun dun dun.... The Angel of Death. God is displeased with how the human race has reacted to the end of their world and wants them wiped out completely. Since this means the end of my job he has decided to let me take a hands on approach.

What are my restrictions? The plan is to kill every single human being I can find. Where should my S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points go? Perks? What skills should I bump and which should I ignore?

Any ideas?

This really is pending your playstyle. You could get the Deathclaw Gauntlet Schematic, by forcing an early random encounter. Just keep reloading until you get it. Focus on sneak and unarmed. Once you get the associated perks, with unarmed, the DG becomes the most powerful unarmed weapon in the game. Even surpassing the Shishkebab in melee. Get through the OA DLC, to obtain the Chin Stelth Armor. You're a ghost of death.

EDIT : For SPECIAL, you will get a lot of diff opinions on this. In FO3, I start with 5 in everything, except Intel. run it up to 10. I find the extra points very valuable. As I don't rely on finding books and bobbleheads. Not to say, I don't plan for them somewhat. I stay away from perks that add +5 to this and that skill. They are a waist, as your high Intel will make up for that.

EDIT : Let me think on this some more. You may benefit from taking less, if not lowest in a SPECIAL or two, to get your Luck up to 9 or 10. Hmmm...

I always dump Charisma to 1. There are no Charisma perks I care to take, and don't really care about the related skills.

I usually raise Intelligence to 9, and run to get the Int bobble head as soon as I leave the vault, to maximize skill point allocations. I miss out on a couple of points from leveling before I can get to the bobble head, but in the end a couple of points won't make much difference.

Then I make sure that I meet the minimum SPECIAL requirements to take all the perks I want. That includes making sure I have high enough Strength and Endurance to (with the help of SPECIAL boosting items or chems) end up with the S/E reward from the wasteland survival guide quest. Anything left over I use to boost Agility and/or Luck.
