What is Bethesda's views on Fan Comics?

Hello, I searched for the right Forum to post this and this one seemed the most appropriated. I also decided to check here in the forums before sending any e-mails.

Anyway, what I would like to know is the views of Bethesda Softworks regarding fan made web comics about Fallout or any other of their games.
I saw many comics, art, fanfics etc that uses many copyrights of the studio, but they normally are small projects, comics with about 40 pages or less.
In the event of a bigger project like a long web comic done by a fan, would Bethesda feel their right violated? Would they allow the fan artist to do his comic as long as putting disclaimers about Bethesda owning the Fallout product?
Going farther into this scenario, if the artist was allowed to continue his project and the site where the fan comic is hosted became popular enough to receive web advertising (reads make profit) would Bethesda cancel the project?

Fan comics and trademarks and copyrights are a tricky subject, many studios don’t like that fans make their own work using their product as a base, such as happened with Star Trek fan comics. It’s really hard to know how exactly each company would react, and even though most of the population believes that companies are always greedy and trying to get the most out of people, but I like to think that there are still some big companies out there that support the creativity of their fans, and recognize the fact that if someone is willing to work hard on something using their game as base, it means that they really LOVE that game.

If anyone can answer my questions I would be greatly appreciated since this subject is a touchy one and is hard to come by without or the fan looking like he wants to make something out of other people works or that the company is a greedy and shallow stereotypical group of business men that only cares about profit.

Thanks for the patience and the attention.

You should probably contact one of the community managers if you're looking for specifics in this regard. I don't believe they'd have a problem, but there may be some technicalities you have to abide be.

Thank you for the fast reply.
Yeah, I'm assuming they don't check regularly this forums, so is better to send 'em a direct e-mail.
