Issue with a couple of Meshes

I'm having a problem with Calishan's glasses and Danae's Pegasus Estate Robe. Here are the specs:

Glasses: unisix light armor helmet, assigned to knee body part in CS. Nif appears to be knee-specific.
Robe: male and female versions of clothing, assigned to chest body part in CS. Can't really tell which bodypart(s) are involved in the nif.

The trouble is, if an NPC or the PC is wearing the robe, the glasses do not show up. This leads me to believe there is some specific body part assignment within the robe nif that hides the knee, but I can't make heads or tails of it. Incidentally, when wearing the glasses without the robe, greaves disappear, but are still equipped and included in the armor rating (as expected).

Rather than change anything in the CS, where things seem to be working, is there something I should be looking for in the robe nif itself? I've noticed the glasses don't disappear when wearing one of Korana's floor length dresses and they are designed for the ankle.

I only ever check out nifs in Nifskope and I don't really understand how they work (obviously). If the solution isn't simple, I probably won't be able to wrap my head around it.

BTW, I am not claiming anything is wrong with either Cali's glasses or Danae's robe. They are simply not playing nicely together for me. I've talked to Danae about it and she can't replicate my issue with her version of the files. She's a bit busy now and won't be able to get back with me for a little while. In any case, I'd like to understand the issue rather than just replace the nifs when she gets back. Anyone have any ideas?

it it the glasses from Cali_Opticians?

they could be moved to a different slot i'm think the slot the the pauldrens uses because they show when wearing a robe but you would then have to make the pauldrens one mesh instead of two which could cause all kinds of problems

do you tent to use a specific hair? you could attach the hair to the glasses and make it a helm though if you want to ware a helm you can't wear glasses

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think changing the glasses is really the issue, latendresse. It really isn't an armor slot thing, because the conflict is with a piece of clothing. Unless I'm not understanding you correctly. It's not an issue with the PC, it's an issue with any NPC wearing that robe and those glasses, regardless of armor.
