Post » Sun Aug 21, 2011 7:55 am

Hi there chaps, firstly, does any one know if it is ok to use the official plugins with an existing savegame?
Secondly, are there any specific ini tweaks I can perform to mess around with the colours of sunsets and so forth? I couldn't find any specific info in yacobys tutorial.
ANy help would be great!

Almost all mods can be used with a previous save file.
But only if you use Wrye Mash to Update/Sync your load order. Rebuilding your Merged Object & Mashed Lists is also recommended if the mod alters the same objects as other mods, or has/changes any leveled lists.

Using the Code Patch also makes adding/removing mods from a save file much safer.

Her's a small little walkthrough of how to tweak your ini

Open Morrowind.ini in your Morrowind Directory(Usually C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind) Weather Settings start about halfway down. Now open paint click edit colors in the box that pops up find a color that you like in the bottom right corner you'll see Hue Sat Lum and Red Green Blue. now find a color that you want for the sky and remember the red green blue numbers now switch over to your ini and find the line that corresponds to the sky setting you want to change Heres a guide to them

[Weather Clear]
Sky Sunrise Color=255,189,157
;The color of the sky at sunrise.(Colors are Red,Green,Blue)
Sky Day Color=095,135,203
;The color of the sky during the day.
Sky Sunset Color=038,193,255
;The color of the sky at sunset.
Sky Night Color=009,010,011
;The color of the sky at night.
Fog Sunrise Color=255,230,109
;Fog color at sunrise.
Fog Day Color=206,227,255
;Fog color during the day.
Fog Sunset Color=255,185,081
;Fog color at sunset.
Fog Night Color=132,130,255
;Fog color at night.
Ambient Sunrise Color=047,066,096
Ambient Day Color=137,140,160
Ambient Sunset Color=255,163,000
Ambient Night Color=032,035,042
Sun Sunrise Color=255,178,000
;The color of the sun at sunrise.
Sun Day Color=255,252,238
;The color of the sun during the day.
Sun Sunset Color=255,151,000
;The color of the sun at sunset.
Sun Night Color=059,097,176
;The color of the sun at night.(weird right)
Sun Disc Sunset Color=255,066,000
Transition Delta=.015
Land Fog Day Depth=.69
Land Fog Night Depth=.69
Clouds Maximum Percent=1.0
Wind Speed=.1
Cloud Speed=1.25
Glare View=1
Cloud Texture=Tx_Sky_Clear.tga
Ambient Loop Sound ID=None

now swap the red green and blue numbers from paint with the setting you're changing.
Save and you are done
