Ballistas. Trebuchets. Mangonel.

Post » Sun Aug 21, 2011 10:36 pm

You would want to see Ballistas, Trebuchets, or/and Mangonels in the game? Perhaps the larger cities would have them? Or the Rebel faction?

Or perhaps some of the cities or larger towns would have a Ballista you could launch at a dragon.

Thoughts?

the dwemer had ballista's or to be more precise ballistas that had legs and could walk on there own and operated on steam power. i hope i get to see one of those Ballista walkers as i have come to call them outside a dwemer ruin.

what would we use them on, I doubt we will be facing more than 6 enemies at once on a regular basis.

These are fine for specialized quests that require them. but i see no need to have them for Skyrim.

Maybe for later games tho.

Ballistas- 1.)A catapult used in ancient warfare for hurling large stones
2.)A large crossbow for firing a spear

Trebuchets- A machine used in medieval siege warfare for hurling large stones or other missiles

haha itd be weird seeing giant balistas lining castles and forts, but not any crossbows
if they were in id expect alot of NPCs to go around saying "we're pretty stupid to not be able to figure out how to shrink these down to a carry-able size. bows get so boring after a while. anything to change it up would be a life-saver"
