New Vegas is awesome!

After playing for a few hours last night I just thought I'd drop a bit of positivity on this forum. The game feels a lot like FO3 (a good thing) with plenty of new features to keep it fresh and interesting. I also have had zero issues with the game. No fps drops, crashes, nothing. I'm playing on ultra high settings with Win7 Home Premium, i5-650 3.2ghz quad, radeon hd 5770, 8gb ddr3, 1tb hd :)

So just out of curiosity what resolution are you playing it at? Also what about AA and anistropic filtering? 4x and 15x? Pretty impressive that a 5770 can run ultra settings... unless you've got like a 15 inch monitor. :)

Be nice when I will actually be able to play!

Its running pretty well on mine too. I have a couple small issues and did have it crash once but overall its going better than what ive been reading. I dont know if i should update my video drivers or not after reading everything. I have everything on and on ultra except i turn off Vsync. My main issues are the flashes that some other Nvidia users have and that one crash. Other than those everything seems to load fine and ive been using manual saves since i read about the auto save issues before i started. I plan to copy in the direct x 9 file as well just to see.

My Specs:

Win 7 Pro 64 bit
i7 930 CPU
GTX 480 GPU
6 gigs ram

Got an 295 and I can run it ultra all max out @ 1920x1080 tho I have to set the "water reflection" to medium or I will get some random 0.00001 sec breaks while looking around, go figure :)

My Specs:

Win 7 Pro 64 bit
i7 920 CPU 2.8 (clocked at 3.8)
GTX 295 GPU

I'm playing at 1680x1050 (22" widescreen), and yes 4x AA 15x anisotropic samples.

I'll have to add my experience to that list. While downloading I was reading all of the problems and dreading the start up of this game. To my surprise not a single issue has popped up, and I mean nothing.
I vaguely remember having some save issues with the original FO3 but that was on an older system. Regardless of the circumstances I'm consistently getting over a 100fps via Fraps and I'm 6hrs in having
just finished the "Come fly with me" episode. The settings were automatically put at "Ultra High" an I'm using the native resolution of 1920x1080 for my 27" LCD. I've been really paranoid about saving on
a regular basis because I'm waiting for the trouble to start but the game still runs smooth like butta . . . .

Win 7 Pro 64 bit
i7 980X
6 Gigs DDR3 1600 XMP
2 x Asus 5870 Crossfire
X58 Mobo

Granted my hardware is fairly new but I read an crashing post of a guy with a GTX480 that should easily smoke this game. Maybe for once it's an issue with Nvidia instead of the usual ATI problems.
I have to admit though for these crashes to be occurring on the Xbox is inexcusable. PC's I can understand just because there are so many hardware combination's out there. I'll just keep saving
the game routinely and keep my fingers crossed. There should be a patch within the first week or so.
