Hello guys

Build a new PC, went to store got Crysis2 installed and started right away on MP, since the beginning I was killed over and over on any spawn area over and over by the same person, i could not even move 3 steps and I was dead, I moved to another server and this time was wall hacks, is Multiplayer on this game is like that all the time?,is there a serious servers where people can play how the game was designed, and more importantly.....Is Crytek doing something to prevent this?.. I don't want to believe i paid 65 dollars to play with cheaters and hacks

First of all, I'd like to welcome you to the crysis 2 forums . No sir, this kind of stuff does not happen frequently. This game does however have a steep learning curve and may be difficult to get used to, and a lot of people will mistake people who are good for cheaters. There are also a lot of unusual functions in this game that might be perceived as hacking (i.e. visor tagging). In regards to spawns, there usually pretty good, I've never regularly had an issue with spawns. I hope you have a better time!

try playing on DDD servers. type DDD in the search box in the server browser. their servers have admins on everyday and have an extensive banlist of hackers and impolite idiots.

Hello, I strongly suggest you to play singleplayer with proper difficulty level that suit your skills.

To survive in this game mp, it is crucial to learn usage of all the necessary modules (armor, stealth, power etc...) and playing singleplayer will teach you the basic of module usage.


There is a list of all the module level and details somewhere in forum or internet, and it will be very helpful to watch some of good crysis 2 pc mp players commentary videos in forum here or youtube to further your skill level.

Hope you can get the gist of crysis 2, and enjoy it..
would be much safer and better to join ranked servers (ones with EA logo attached in front of it in server browser) to avoid auto level reset or cheaters.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice, I went to DDD servers and yes it was wayyyy different, I managed a few kills ,yes this game is different and that's why my son recommend it to me, I just finished building a new PC and a friend of my sons told me, "if you want to see what the computer you built is capable of, just go and get Crysis 2"....So here I am, Thanks for the warm welcome and thanks again for all the advice, I just purchased Decimation pack and its awesome.

There only seems to be a lot of hackers in MP because hardly anyone plays MP in C2. (not bashing the game, but it's true).

Baby steps madness, baby steps, we don't want the man's PC melting now do we....... If you want to see what Crysis 1 is like, we recommend Warhead, its MUCH simpler to grasp and even easier to run on a beginning PC.

Im running C2 on a I7 950 @ 3.6 Win 7 64bit,12g Ram on a Nvidia 470gtx 1gig, so everything is in max, the game looks awesome. and on PC i have no trouble finding people to play, althou im sick of speed + wall hack

You did know about this right? The games "extreme" profile is simply a console port, this patch makes it a true PC game. And one of the best I might add. (and the prettiest)

New to this game and already know what is wallhack and speed.So typical of all noobs to accuse everyone of cheating when they are new.Maybe you did face a genuine speed hacker but wallhackers are veryhard to spot even for pros.How did you manage to spot them??And in killcam everyone looks tagged.And if you really want to test your pc play Crysis1.Still the mother of all games.Also far more good looking than Crysis2.

Its true what you said, is very hard to see a wall hacker but when you get killed and on the re-play you see the guy actually shooting from inside the building and the dam bullet getting thru several walls and structures is hard to say" HMMM that guy is a pro" I say AIMBOT/WallHack.
